1. Who is your Medical Director? Dr. Rick Leach is a partial owner and our Medical Director.
2. What is the difference between a spa and a medical spa? A medical spa is a halfway point between a dermatologist and a spa. We offer pharmaceutical grade products, non-invasive procedures such as dermal fillers and Botox, along with skincare services such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion.
3. What kind of experience does the Registered Nurse have? Sue has over 20 years of professional nursing experience in the healthcare and aesthetic industry. She became a Certified Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner in 2007, bringing her advanced knowledge in Botox, Dermal Fillers and Sclerotherapy to S.K.i.N. Medical Spa. Currently a graduate school student at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, she will graduate within one year with a degree in advanced family practice and an emphasis in Women's Health.
4. Are there credit options available? Yes. We offer financing through cosmeticredit. You may apply online at www.cosmeticredit.com or fill out an application in our office and we will fax it in for you.
5. Are any of your products or services covered by insurance? No, the services and treatments offered by S.K.i.N. Medical Spa are considered elective and cosmetic and are not covered by insurance.
6. What qualifications and background should I look for in an injector? Anyone performing injections should have the proper qualifications. They should be a licensed medical professional. An injector should have extensive experience and training IN INJECTABLE FILLER PRODUCTS. Ask for before and after pictures of satisfied clients!
7. What special qualifications or certifications does an aesthetician have to obtain to perform the services that S.K.i.N. Medical Spa offers?
Our aesthetician has gone through a process of intense education. They are also trained and certified in all of the products that we carry, as well as the Sciton Laser. Their education and training is ongoing and supplemented by seminars, additional classes and ongoing research into the newest skincare methods available.
